Bedroom Nook
When Hilary Duff remodeled her Los Angeles house, she told AD she made it a point to have it be well-designed, but kid-friendly as well. The main suite, though, is fit for an adult, especially with the new addition she recently made.
In an Instagram post, the actor shared a glimpse of a small office nook she added to her and her husband Matthew Koma's bedroom. After learning she was pregnant with daughter Mae (born in March of this year), "we took over the only spare room in the house which I used as an office and a place for dog crates lol," wrote Duff. "So I decided to utilize this sweet nook in our bedroom for a small thinking space/office for myself."

Duff enlisted David Ko of Maison Ko — one of the interior designers who transformed the rest of her residence — to create an area that was conducive for work without taking up a whole bunch of space. The result was a yellowish wall desk made of brass with a Crump and Kwash wooden chair and floating shelves, featuring ceramic candlesticks from Panoplie and pieces by Mociun on them. Added the singer, "I loved the idea of a floating desk so everything still felt very light and sleek."
During AD's tour of her home, Duff—who is also a mom to son Luca (with ex-husband Mike Comrie) and another daughter, Banks—noted that her own en-suite bathroom was her go-to place when she needed a breather from her kids. "This is pretty much the only space I have in the house that belongs to me," she said. But despite that at-home chaos that comes with having three children, Duff wouldn't have it any other way. "We have found this really nice balance," said the star, and "it feels like our family's home."
